  • The Știrbey estate was built by Barbu Știrbey, prime minister of Romania in the 19th century.
  • The estate was confiscated by the communist regime in 1948 and was used as a protocol residence for state officials.
  • The Știrbey estate was given back to the Știrbey family after the fall of the communist regime and was restored with European funds.
